About me
I want my students to feel what I felt when I discovered I could learn English: confidence, motivation, and security.

My name is Alba Gil, and I'm an English teacher. Three years ago, I decided to fulfill a dream: to open my own school. Since then, I've been helping children, teens, and adults on their journey to learning English, with personalized, practical, and, above all, motivating classes.
English has accompanied me throughout every stage of my life. Even as a child, I would be enthralled watching "Magic English" videotapes and reading that collection of blue books in which my favorite Disney characters taught me how to pronounce English words. I would then teach them to my stuffed animals and write them on a small blackboard I had at home.
Although I encountered a few unprofessional teachers who frustrated my desire to learn, I must say that everything changed in high school, when I finally met good teachers who made me see that I could do it, and that motivated and inspired me. That's why, at 17, I was already clear about it; I enrolled in English Philology at the University of Cáceres, which gave me the opportunity to live an unforgettable Erasmus experience in Belfast (Ireland). Since finishing my degree in 2019, I've been working nonstop on what I love most: teaching.
My academy began with four tables, a few chairs, a blackboard, four walls filled with positive messages, and a lot of enthusiasm. Today, it's a comfortable, distraction-free space where students not only learn English but also self-confidence. I feel fortunate to have built such a place, and every time my students recommend me, I feel like all the effort has been worth it.
My method combines classic resources that work with interactive materials adapted to our times and the needs of each student. I have trained in psychology for educators, conflict resolution in the classroom, and multimedia content creation. All of this allows me to offer a friendly, flexible, and effective teaching experience. I also enjoy working on emotional aspects, especially with high school students. I remember my pre-university years as if they were yesterday, so I strive to advise and guide them so they feel the confidence they often need.
If you ever thought English wasn't for you, come and let me prove you wrong.
